Hemorrhoid Treatment – Make External and Internal Hemorrhoid a Difference?

If you consider Hemorrhoid treatment, you first have to understand the difference between external and internal. External hemorrhoids in outer anal generally cause symptoms of pain and itching when irritated thus, internal hemorrhoids in the inner part are usually painless but can cause bleeding.

Regarding the hemorrhoid treatment, external hemorrhoids are easier to diagnose and treat than internal hemorrhoids. Since they are located on the exterior of the anus, the bumps caused by blood filling the tissue can be felt and seen.

Hemorrhoids symptoms are red blood and are noticed on the toilet paper following a bowel movement. Pain when sitting is common with external hemorrhoids and removing them need a hemorrhoid treatment.

Basically, external hemorrhoids respond easy and quick to home-care remedies such as over-the-counter products (creams, pads, etc.), sitz baths, and good personal hygiene practices. This form of hemorrhoid treatment alleviate the discomfort and the hemorrhoids usually disappear shortly.

Prolapsed hemorrhoids, if they are not too swollen, can be gently pushed back into the rectum to reduce pain and discomfort when wiping or sitting. Prompt medical attention and hemorrhoid treatment should be sought if you think you may have a prolapsed hemorrhoid.

Also, internal hemorrhoids can be very painful, especially during a bowel movement, and cannot be treated with creams, ointments, and pads because of their internal location. They need a more sophisticated form of hemorrhoid treatment.

Prolapsed hemorrhoids, if they are not too swollen, can be gently pushed back into the rectum to reduce pain and discomfort when wiping or sitting. Prompt medical attention and hemorrhoid treatment should be sought if you think you may have a prolapsed hemorrhoid.

Note, that prolapsed hemorrhoids can be gently pushed back into the rectum to reduce pain and discomfort when wiping or sitting. An immediate hemorrhoid treatment should be sought after if you think you may have a prolapsed hemorrhoid.

But be aware that a hemorrhoid that is too swollen to push back into the rectum might become strangulated. Strangulated hemorrhoids often appears when a clot has formed in its blood supply.

That is, the blood supply to the hemorrhoid has been cut off, resulting in excruciating pain. Strangulated hemorrhoids require emergency medical attention. If you’re unsure whether you have internal hemorrhoids or external hemorrhoids, it’s always best to consult your physician for an immediate hemorrhoid treatment.

Bleeding Hemorrhoids And Hemorrhoid Treatment

Hemorrhoids occur from straining too much during defecation. It is sometimes the result of pregnancy. The blood vessels become full of blood and become somewhat like varicose veins.  Hemorrhoids cause irritation, itching and swelling of the hemorrhoid tissue. This can make such simple tasks such as sitting in front of a computer uncomfortable. Everyone has hemorrhoids; however, it is only considered hemorrhoids when the tissue becomes inflamed.

There are various types of hemorrhoid treatment for hemorrhoids as well as bleeding hemorrhoids. Some of the hemorrhoid treatment that is available takes the form of nonprescription medication. Bleeding hemorrhoids on the other hand may require more medical attention. Bleeding hemorrhoids and non-bleeding varieties may also require surgery. The typical hemorrhoids treatment is with gels, creams, suppositories, and wiping pads. However, there are other things to consider for hemorrhoids treatment.  For example, it is important to keep the anus clean, which one can gain additional benefits from taking an Epson salt bath.

One may notice red streaks in one’s stool, which may be due to bleeding hemorrhoids. Bleeding hemorrhoids are a result of the blood vessels becoming inflamed too close to the lining of the anus. However, blood in one’s feces could indicate a different type of medical problem. It is highly recommended that one sees a physician if they think that they have hemorrhoids or bleeding hemorrhoids. This is especially the case if hemorrhoids treatment has gone along unsuccessfully for over seven days.

Bleeding hemorrhoids are considered the most severe case of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoid treatment for bleeding hemorrhoids includes injection sclerotherapy, infrared photocoagulation, laser coagulation, rubber band ligation, and hemorrhoidectomy. Injection sclerotherapy essentially employs an injection of a chemical solution around the blood vessel in order to shrink the hemorrhoid. Infrared photocoagulation and laser coagulation treats bleeding hemorrhoids by burning the hemorrhoid tissue. Rubber band ligation is a hemorrhoid treatment that uses rubber bands to cut off the circulation to the hemorrhoid, which makes the hemorrhoid wither away within a few days. In the most severe cases of bleeding hemorrhoids a surgery or hemorrhoidectomy is performed.

In order to ensure that a self diagnosis does not go awry, a visit to the physician is recommended. Some hemorrhoids including bleeding hemorrhoids may require surgery or professional medical treatment. Medical professionals deal with hemorrhoids and many other embarrassing problems on a daily basis. Their job is to treat individuals on a professional rather than a personal level. As a result, one will likely find that a conversation with their doctor regarding hemorrhoid treatment is much more professional and civil than expected.

Hemorrhoids Treatment Options

Hemorrhoids Treatment Options

If you are experiencing a flare-up of hemorrhoid swelling and discomfort, try the following methods. Take a fiber powder to soften the stool. Apply a cold compress or icepack to the anal area, or try a cool cotton pad soaked in witch hazel. Apply petroleum jelly or aloe vera gel to the anal area, or use an over-the-counter hemorrhoid preparation containing lidocaine or hydrocortisone.

Take warm sitz baths, especially when the hemorrhoids are uncomfortable. Sit in a tub or pan of plain warm water, 3 or 4 times a day, for 15 to 20 minutes each time. The water will keep the area clean, and the warmth will reduce inflammation and discomfort. Be certain to dry the rectal area thoroughly after each sitz bath. If you work, you can still take a sitz bath in the morning, upon returning from work, and again at bedtime.

After every bowel movement, clean the anal area with a witch hazel pad, a soothing baby wipe or a cotton cloth soaked in warm water. Be thorough but gentle. Aggressive rubbing and scrubbing, especially with soaps or other skin cleansers, can irritate the skin and make your hemorrhoids worse.

If you have persistent or severe hemorrhoid symptoms, your doctor may offer one of the following treatments options. Rubber band ligation: A rubber band is slipped around the base of an internal hemorrhoid to cut off its circulation. This shrinks the banded hemorrhoid. This is the office treatment used most commonly in the United States.

Sclerotherapy: An irritating chemical solution is injected directly into the internal hemorrhoid or the area around it. This solution causes a local reaction that interferes with blood flow inside the hemorrhoid, making the hemorrhoid shrink. Coagulation therapies: These treatments use electricity, or infrared light to destroy internal hemorrhoids by burning.

Although traditional surgical removal of hemorrhoids is painful, it is effective, for both internal and external hemorrhoids. Laser hemorrhoidectomy does not offer any advantage over standard operative techniques. Hemorrhoid stapling is a surgical procedure that uses a special device to internally staple and remove hemorrhoid tissue. It is effective only for internal hemorrhoids, but is less painful than traditional hemorrhoidectomy.

If hemorrhoids occur during pregnancy, they will usually regress spontaneously after childbirth. For hemorrhoids related to constipation, the prognosis is also good, provided you make the necessary changes to your diet and lifestyle. For hemorrhoids that cause persistent symptoms despite nonsurgical treatment, the results from office treatment or surgery are usually very good.

Hemorrhoids are not dangerous, and only need to be treated if they cause very bothersome symptoms. Call your doctor whenever you have bleeding from your rectum, especially if you are over age 40, when there is an increase in the risk of rectal bleeding from colorectal cancer or other serious digestive diseases. Also, see your doctor if you have severe rectal pain.

Alternative hemorrhoid cures made of natural anti-hemmorhoid agents are now available to the public, which represent safe solutions to eliminate hemorrhoids. Cure without relapse can be achieved. The hemorrhoid cures can be applied personally. HemorrhoidBalm-Rx and AntiHemorrhoidDrops are well-established highly effective hemorrhoids treatment products.

These remedies are concentrated with pharmacological extracts well documented to greatly improve the overall tone of rectal tissue, as well as provide effective treatment of hemorrhoids. The Journal of Pharmacology, April 2005, reported these extracts deliver a “strong inhibitory effect” and “significant anti-inflammatory activity” against hemorrhoids.

HemorrhoidBalm-Rx and AntiHemorrhoidDrops are therefore established as a truly efficacious hemorrhoids treatment. The venous blood decongestant and astringent properties of these treatments provide quick and safe elimination of piles. They improve microcirculation, capillary flow, and vascular tone, and strengthen the connective tissue of the rectum.

These treatments are concentrated using a wide spectrum of medicinal plant extracts exhibiting curative effects against hemorrhoids, as published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology. Scientific studies further quantify NaturesPharma’s treatment for hemorrhoids produces superior results compared to prescription medication and other remedies.

HemorrhoidBalm-Rx is for topical application and the primary treatment. AntiHemorrhoidDrops are a dietary supplement homeopathic remedy and to be taken as needed for more acute or chronic conditions. To learn more, please go to http://www.naturespharma.org.

An MD can put a tie or band around it and it will drop off. He will give you something to keep it fairly comfortable. As far as swelling all of the OTC preparations are about the same.

Types of Hemorrhoids Treatments

Types of Hemorrhoids Treatments

There are a few different types of hemorrhoids, each with their own specific characteristics. External hemorrhoids are visible and can be felt outside the anal canal. They can be very uncomfortable and make you feel like there is something there that doesn’t belong. They can itch, be painful, and swell up to make sitting difficult.

They can also make it painful to have a bowel movement and to wipe afterwards. When you have external hemorrhoids, they can become thrombosed hemorrhoids if a blood clot develops. This would mean that the affected vein has ruptured, and it can be very painful. Sometimes, thrombosed hemorrhoids bleed a lot and may require surgery to repair.

Internal hemorrhoids are hemorrhoids inside the anal canal or rectum. Sometimes, there is no pain with internal hemorrhoids, because there aren’t pain receptors inside the rectum. If you have this type of hemorrhoid, you may not even know it until you see blood when you have a bowel movement. If internal hemorrhoids are not treated, then prolapsed hemorrhoids or strangulated hemorrhoids may occur.

Not all hemorrhoids require surgery treatment. Finding the right treatments may depend on your symptom. Those without a symptom need not treat. And those with some symptoms should aim at eliminating the symptoms and the pursuit of entire radical sure is non-essential. Only those with severe or insufferable symptoms can take the surgery treatment.

External hemorrhoids which are not bleeding and not thrombosed may be treated with a hemorrhoid cream, ointment, warm baths, witch hazel, or another soothing and healing remedy. Mild internal hemorrhoids can be treated with suppositories of hemorrhoid cream, witch hazel, and possibly by taking a supplement. There are many home remedies to try, and some of them have been said to work wonders.

There are more invasive treatments for thrombosed, prolapsed, and strangulated hemorrhoids. These include rubber band ligation, hemorrhoid surgery, and laser coagulation. Finding the right treatments may depend on finding out what type of hemorrhoids you have. If you are not sure, consulting your doctor will help you get the information you need to make sure that what you use is the best option for treating your hemorrhoids.

You can also use the Internet to find the newest and most recommended hemorrhoid treatments available. Doing research is always a good idea before making a final decision as to what treatments to try, as it helps to know what to expect. Hemorrhoids may be painful, but the sooner they are taken care of, the less trouble you will have with them.
